In the lesson it was my groups turn to present our devised piece for the third scene. The actually performance went according to plan improving on the points we were given the last time never slipping into neutral and we were praised for being dynamic and interest which was a great personal victory. Even better I was given the opportunity to direct the entire ensemble (I refrain from referring to us as a class for this project) and it was definitely a worthwhile experience as I actually felt my passion for directing ignite but that's a story for another time! In my own opinion I feel that I did a good job and and was able to control the focus of the class with ease without becoming a dictator.
I used my communication abilities to get my ideas across and give constructive feedback to make sure that the choreography was being done right e.g. The heart pulsing movement - I gave them a visual demonstration of what I wanted to see them do and just watch them and pinpointed what was good and what could be improved. By then end of my session with the whole class in my opinion we had an almost refined nicely shaped piece due to input by everyone without any fuss or arguments. Had we more time I think we could have had it polished and done in probably another half an hour but sadly this project was running out of time.
