I feel that this certain play could be taken to new levels with the right staging and theatrical configurations, it has someone potential in physical theatre yet so much freedom to play around with. Being an ensemble piece we can explore different ways to move as one single unit while still having the individuality of the character.
Hair and make-up: The play is really dark and has a really dark atmosphere and since we are all one ensemble I think we should be in all black basics to simplify have specific costumes or making someone look more important than the others. I think boys and girls should have black nails and eye make-up even though some may object you can't deny it will give a creepier more Gothic undertone. It especially plays on the line "ya dirty Goth" to give a real hypocrisy conveying even deeper messages that are hidden within this play. At least one person should actually shave their hair down to the skin head level which would be excellent for the hair cutting scene, even though it is symbolic it can also be physical.
White screens: if we use a traverse staging configuration we could have white screens on either end. This can be use in a many number of ways in the play. In scene 12 and many other scenes he is watching a TV. If we can have strong lighting we can play with creating silhouettes of the movie and/or other unseen characters like when the father beats his wife to push the subtle but horrific side out even more playing with the audience's minds. Even an idea Mr. Rennison and Charlie
Norton (http://charlienortonblackoutresearch.blogspot.co.uk) has was to get a knife and some fake blood and slice down the centre of the screen with someone behind it which could look really amazing.
Stage: As I have previously mentioned the traverse stage would be quite an effective one for this play *see post:Theatrical configurations but I would like to step the immersiveness of this staging type up a gear by putting platforms on the four corners of the rooms where we could have all types of sound scapes and noises and even movements that will have the audience turning in their seats for example; In the part where he is completing his metamorphosis into a skin head we could have Nazi marches going on on the main stage whilst we simultaneously have marching coming from these podiums giving a loud cacophony of feet stomping enclosing the audience in sounds!
